SA vs IND 1st Test: Proteas all out for 130; India needs 208 to win

Cape Town: South Africa, which embarked on its second inning with a healthy lead of 77 runs, seems to be in deep trouble as they have been bundled out for 130 runs owing to some extraordinary bowling by Indian pacers at the Newlands here on Monday.

At Lunch on Day 4, the South Africa was wrapped up for 130 runs with AB de Villiers (35 off 50, 2 fours, 2 sixes) falling as the last wicket. Now, India has got to chase down 208 runs in 5 sessions from now.

Starting the Day 4, after third day was completely washed out by rain without a single ball being bowled, at 65/2 with Kagiso Rabada (5 off 33) and Hashim Amla (4 off 15) batting at the crease, South Africa lost the latter in the second over of the day bowled by Mohammed Shami.

Soon, Shami also sent Rabada back to the pavilion who had came in to bat as night-watchman on Day 2.

Now came the turn of Jasprit Bumrah, who sent skipper Faf du Plessis (0 off 5) and Quinton de Kock (8 off 9) back in quick successions giving a major jolt to the Proteas team.

Shami returned to action by dismissing Vernon Philander (0 off 10). Keshav Maharaj (15 off 21), who played a crucial knock in the first inning, failed on this occasion as he was taken by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Morne Morkel (2 off 4) was also stunned by a brilliant bouncer by Bhuvi while Dale Steyn (0 off 4) remained unbeaten.

Shami and Bumrah bagged three wickets each, Hardik Pandya and Bhuvi managed two scalps each. Ravichandran Ashwin, who has got only one over in the second inning, is yet to take any wickets.

Earlier, after winning the toss, South Africa had scored 286 runs in the first inning. In reply, India had managed to pile up 209 runs giving away a handy 77-run lead to the opponents.
