Gaganyaan astronaut Prashant Nair is husband of this Malayalam actress, revealed on social media

Malayalam actress Leena posted on her Instagram account on Tuesday that she is the wife of Indian Air Force fighter pilot Prashant Balakrishnan Nair. Actress Leena gave this information to fans by sharing a post, hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi named her as one of the four astronauts training for the unprecedented Gaganyaan mission.

The 'Sneham' actress also shared a picture of herself and Nair with ISRO Chairman S Somnath. Sharing the post on the social media platform, she wrote, "She was waiting for this important announcement so that she could tell everyone that she got married to Nair through an arranged marriage on January 17." Leena said Nair being awarded the astronaut wing by the PM is a "historic moment of pride".

Leena said, "Today, on 27 February 2024, our Prime Minister Modi ji awarded the first Indian Astronaut Wing to Group Captain Prashant Balakrishnan Nair, a fighter pilot of the Indian Air Force. This is a great tribute to our country, our state of Kerala and personally it's a historic moment of pride for me. To maintain the required privacy officially, I was waiting for this announcement to tell you that I have married Prashant in a traditional ceremony on January 17, 2024." .

Earlier in the day, when the Prime Minister unveiled the names of the four astronauts, including Group Captain Prashant Balakrishnan Nair, residents of Nenmara rejoiced. The other three astronauts are Group Captain Angad Pratap, Ajit Krishnan and Wing Commander Shubhanshu Shukla.
