New Rules January 2024: These big changes to take place across the country from today

The arrival of the New Year will also bring several changes in rules and regulations which may have a direct impact on the common people.

All the insurance companies of the country will have to provide a customer information sheet to the policy holder along with whatever health insurance policy they issue after January 1, 2024.

Last month, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) issued a new circular regarding issuing health insurance policies to all the insurance companies of the country.

Under which now health insurance companies will have to give all the important information related to the health insurance policy in simple words to the policy holder in the customer information sheet. They will have to be told what is the coverage of the policy and what benefits they can get from this policy.

Along with this, health insurance companies will also have to tell what will be the procedure if the policy holder wants to make a health insurance claim. If he has any complaint, then what are the criteria set by the company for redressal of the complaint. The name of the Grievance Redressal Officer and easy contact information will also have to be shared in the customer information sheet.

Recently, Mercedes-Benz announced an increase of up to two percent in the prices of select models in India from the new year i.e. January 1. Earlier, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Volvo Car India, Audi had also announced that they will increase car prices from January 1, 2024. These companies have increased the prices by 2 to 5 percent. However, the price of cars has been increased according to the models.
