LPG Price Update: Commercial Cylinder Rates Surge by Rs 21, Check December Prices

In a recent move, state-backed oil marketing companies (OMCs) have increased the prices of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 21. This hike impacts establishments such as hotels and restaurants that rely on these larger cylinders.

As of December 1, the new rates for a 19-kg LPG cylinder stand at Rs 1,796.50 in Delhi, Rs 1,908 in Kolkata, Rs 1,749 in Mumbai, and Rs 1,968 in Chennai. This marks a notable increase from the prices on November 16, when a cylinder cost Rs 1,775.50 in Delhi, Rs 1,885.50 in Kolkata, Rs 1,728 in Mumbai, and Rs 1,942 in Chennai.

It's essential to note that there have been no alterations to the prices of 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinders during this revision.

In addition to the LPG cylinder rate adjustment, jet fuel or ATF rates have experienced a 4.6% reduction for the second time in a month. The latest cut brings the aviation turbine fuel (ATF) price down to Rs 1.06 lakh per kilolitre in Delhi from Rs 1.11 lakh per kilolitre.

As of December 1, the ATF prices are Rs 1.14 lakh per kilolitre in Kolkata, Rs 99,223.24 per kilolitre in Mumbai, and Rs 1.09 lakh per kilolitre in Chennai, reflecting the recent adjustments.

The state-backed OMCs, including Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), regularly revise cooking and jet fuel prices on the first day of each month. These revisions are based on the average international oil prices from the previous month.

Stay tuned for further updates on fuel prices, and keep abreast of how these changes might impact various sectors and daily life.

Note: This information is based on the latest available data and is subject to change with subsequent revisions by oil marketing companies.
