According to the information given on the official website of RBI, banks will remain closed for 16 days in the month of January due to occasions like Makar Sankranti, Republic Day as well as festivals taking place in different states.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of bank holidays for the year 2024. According to the information given on the official website of RBI, banks will remain closed for 16 days in the month of January due to occasions like Makar Sankranti, Republic Day as well as festivals taking place in different states.

7 January 2024: Banks will remain closed across the country on Sunday.

13 January 2024: Banks will remain closed across the country due to the second Saturday of the month and Lohri.

14 May 2024: Banks will remain closed across the country on Sunday.

20 January 2024: Banks will remain closed across the country on Sunday.

27 January 2024: Banks will remain closed across the country due to the fourth Saturday of the month.

28 January 2024: Banks will remain closed across the country on Sunday.

Besides the banks will remain closed for several days in January at the state level in the country on the occasion of various festivals.

January 1, 2024: Banks will remain closed across the country on the occasion of New Year.

11 January 2024: Banks will remain closed in Mizoram on the occasion of Missionary Day.

12 January 2024: Banks will remain closed in West Bengal on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti.

15 January 2024: Banks will remain closed in Bengaluru, Chennai, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on the occasion of Uttarayan Punyakal / Makar Sankranti / Maghe Sankranti / Pongal / Magh Bihu.

16 January 2024: Banks will remain closed in West Bengal, Assam and Chennai on Thiruvalluvar Day.

17 January 2024: On the occasion of Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti, banks will remain closed in many states including Punjab.

23 January 2024: Banks will remain closed in many states due to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti.

25 January 2024: Banks will remain closed in Himachal, Chennai and Kanpur on the occasion of Himachal Pradesh State Day, Chai Poosam/Mohammed Hazrat Ali Birthday.

26 January 2024: Banks will remain closed across the country on the occasion of Republic Day.

31 January 2024: Banks will remain closed in Assam on the day of Me-Dam-Me-Fee.
