If you need cash and do not have time to go to the ATM, the postman will deliver the cash to your home. For this, India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) has started the service of giving cash at home through Aadhaar. By using the Aadhaar Enabled Payment Service (AEPS) facility of India Post Payment Bank, you can easily get cash at home without visiting the bank or ATM. IPPB said that if you do not have time to go to ATM or bank, then we will give money through Aadhaar at your home. To use Aadhaar Enabled Payment Service (AEPS), the customer's bank account must be linked to Aadhaar.

How will AEPS work?

AEPS is a payment system in which POS machine uses Aadhaar infrastructure. With this, basic banking transactions like balance enquiry, cash withdrawal, mini statement withdrawal and Aadhaar to Aadhaar fund transfer can be done using the customer's biometrics through the bank account linked to Aadhaar. That is, through this machine any person can withdraw cash using the biometrics of Aadhaar. Not only this, payment can also be made through this.

What will happen if multiple accounts are linked to one Aadhaar?

India Post Payment Bank has issued a FAQ stating that if a customer has multiple bank accounts linked to one Aadhaar, then in such a situation the customer will have to select his bank account while doing any kind of transaction. At the same time, in case of having multiple accounts in the same bank, customers will be able to withdraw money from the account which is the primary account. In this there will be no need to choose the option of bank account.

How much time will it take and how much will it cost to order cash?

If customers want to get cash at their home, there is no need to pay any fee for it. At the same time, if you are using door step service, then the bank will charge service charge for it. The time taken for cash to arrive depends on the distance of the customer's home from the post office or bank. This may take up to 24 hours.

Is there any limit fixed for this?

Through Aadhaar enabled payment service, customers can now withdraw cash up to a maximum of Rs 10,000 at a time. This service can be used by senior citizens as well as minor customers. For this you just need to have an account in a bank or post office with AEPS facility. This facility is beneficial for the elderly as well as those who are physically challenged and those who want safe delivery of money at home.
