India fares best in providing business facilities among South Asian nations
More than 140 countries were included in 2023 survey, in which after evaluation of 60 business facility measures, India has come on the top position with the total of 93.55% score. It was 90.32% in 2021.
India has attained top position in providing business facilities among all South Asian nations, according to a report of United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia Pacific (UNESCAP).
The report said that as per the global survey on digital and sustainable trade facilitation, India has improved significantly in comparison to 2021.
More than 140 countries were included in 2023 survey, in which after evaluation of 60 business facility measures, India has come on the top position with the total of 93.55% score. It was 90.32% in 2021.
The country achieved a score of 100 per cent in four key areas of transparency, formalities, institutional arrangements and cooperation and paperless trade.
It has promoted collaboration among stakeholders through initiatives such as Single Window Interface (SWIFT), pre-arrival data processing, e-sanchit, coordinated border management.
According to a report of finance ministry, India’s score was better than Canada, France, Germany and Britain.
