Adani group's company Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) have appointed accounting firm MKSA & Associates (MKSA & Associates) as the new auditor on Saturday, according to the BQ PRIME report.

According to the company, the appointment of a new auditor follows the exit of Deloitte, the existing auditors of the Adani group companies.

MKSA & Associates is an independent member firm of BDO International.

According to the sources Deloitte said that "After discussion, we are going to resign as statutory auditor of the company with immediate effect,’’.

According to the audit committee of Adani Ports Board, there was no other reason for resignation except the reason as mentioned in the resignation letter.

But Gopal Krishna Pillai, chairman of the APSEZ audit committee said in a statement that it will be better for everyone that the ending of the client-auditor contractual relationship between APSEZ and Deloitte should be genuine because the reason that Deloitte gave was not sufficient for the resignation. She should give the proper reason.

Deloitte had been the statutory auditor of the Adani Ports since 2017. It was given five more-year work in 2022. In a recent meeting of Deloitte with the APSEZ management and its audit committee, Deloitte has indicated cut in its role as an auditor of listed Adani companies.
