According to information received from Mumbai Police, Shahrukh Khan had given a written complaint to the state government that after the films 'Pathan' and 'Jawan', he was receiving calls threatening to kill him. After this, the Maharashtra government has increased the security of actor Shahrukh Khan to Y+ after he allegedly received death threats.

Y+ security provided by Mumbai Police to Shahrukh Khan will have 6 personal security officers and 5 weapons with him 24 hours a day. Actually, the police had received intelligence that Shahrukh Khan is in danger to his life. Shahrukh Khan himself will bear the expenses of King Khan's Y+ security. The actor will have to pay this to the Maharashtra government.

It may also be mentioned here that earlier last year, Y+ security was provided to Bollywood actor Salman Khan after threats from Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Shahrukh Khan has been in conflict with the Mumbai underworld and is known to face threats. Recently, filmmaker Sanjay Gupta had praised 'Jawan' on social media and also praised King Khan for his determination to overcome challenges including threats from gangsters.
