This time there is also Shukra Pradosh Vrat on the day of Mahashivratri. This is the first Pradosh fast of Phalgun month. To worship Lord Shiva, Pradosh Vrat is observed on Trayodashi date of the month while Mahashivratri is observed on the Chaturdashi date of Krishna Paksha of Phalgun month. The auspicious time for Nishita Puja of Mahashivratri is on Trayodashi date of Phalgun. Pradosh Vrat puja is also done in the evening only. Let us know when is the auspicious time for worship of Pradosh Vrat and Mahashivratri Vrat.

According to the Panchang, the Trayodashi date of Krishna Paksha of Phalgun month starts from 1:19 am on March 8 and ends at 9:57 pm that night. After that Chaturdashi Tithi of Mahashivratri will start. Pradosh Kaal for Pradosh Vrat Puja is on Friday, March 8 and since it is a Friday, it is Shukra Pradosh Vrat. The auspicious time for worship of Shukra Pradosh fast is from 6.25 pm to 8.52 pm.

Mahashivratri fast will also be observed on March 8 only. The auspicious time of Nishita Puja of Mahashivratri is from 12:07 am to 12:56 pm. On March 8, devotees will observe the fast of Mahashivratri and worship Lord Shiva, they will get the virtue of both Pradosh and Mahashivratri fasts.

Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga – 6.38 am to 10.41 am

Shiva Yoga - From early morning till late night till 12.46 am

Shravan Nakshatra – From sunrise to 10.41 am

Brahma Muhurta – 5.01 am to 5.50 am

Abhijeet Muhurta – 12:08 pm to 12:56 pm

It is believed that by observing Shukra Pradosh fast and worshiping Lord Shiva as per the rituals, happiness and prosperity increases in the house and those observing the fast are blessed with good fortune.
