New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday morning left for a five-day tour of Africa nations- South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya and Mozambique.

In his first prime ministerial visit to Africa, Modi will visit nations from July 7 to July 11. Lastly, former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi visited African nations 36 years back.
Modi will firstly visit Mozambique in his five-day visit after which he will meet prominent political figures of South Africa, Tanzania and Kenya.
PM's visit will focus on enhancing cooperation in the areas like hydrocarbons, maritime security, agriculture, food trade and investment.
