London Mayor wants Bollywood to remake 'Amar Akbar Anthony'

London Mayor Sadiq Khan, who is preparing for his third term, has made a request to Bollywood to recreate the superhit film 'Amar Akbar Anthony'.

Sadiq Khan, born in London in 1970 to parents who came from Pakistan, explained why he believed it was the right time for such a request from a city like London, which is no stranger to Bollywood.

Sadiq Khan said, "I have a proposal for Bollywood. Please recreate Amar Akbar Anthony in the UK because we have a Christian king (Lang Charles III), a Muslim mayor (himself) and a Hindu Prime Minister ( Rishi Sunak) grew up in public housing with his six brothers and sister in Tooting, an ethnically diverse residential area in the south of the city.

Further, Mayer said laughingly, "I will get a chance to play the character of Amitabh Bachchan." The film stars Vinod Khanna (a Hindu police officer), Rishi Kapoor (a Muslim Qawwali singer) and Amitabh Bachchan (a Christian liquor seller).

Sadiq Khan said, "London is the number one location for filming Bollywood films and for people to come and invest. I look forward to Indians coming here as students, tourists, investors and as locations for Bollywood films. "

Sadiq Khan joined the Labor Party at the age of 15. He remembers every day how his father used to drive the famous red buses of London. His mother was a tailor and his brother was a motor mechanic.

“One of the reasons London is the greatest city in the world is because Indians have chosen to make it their home. It is Londoners who have become doctors, businessmen, politicians, chemists, pharmacists, scientists, journalists etc. Our diversity is a strength. London is a place where you can fulfill your potential. I call it the London Promise," said Sadiq Khan, who made a name for himself as a vocal critic of Brexit after becoming Member of Parliament for Tooting in 2005. But he left his legal career, where he still lives with his wife Saadia (lawyer) and their two daughters.
