Washington: United States Democratic Party presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, on Saturday called the half of Republican nominee Donald Trump’s supporters a ‘basket of dishonourable people’.
“Half of them (Trump’s supporters) are racists, sexists, xenophobic, Islamophobic and ,as a whole, a basket of deplorables (sic),” said Hillary while speaking at a fundraiser and added, “the rest of them are just desperate for a change.”
“Mrs Clinton’s remark is nothing less than an insult to millions of Americans,” said the election campaign manager of Trump in a reaction to Hillary’s statement.
