Armed man shot dead by police at Wal-Mart in Texas

Amarillo (Texas): Mohammad Moghaddam, an armed man who held hostage two people including the manager of Wal-Mart in Amarillo in Texas was shot dead by the police.

Police stated, the incident was a 'workplace violence event' as it began over a dispute related to promotion with the manager of the store.

The Amarillo Police department said that the suspect was identified as a 54-year-old store employee Mohammad Moghaddam.

  • Police urged people to avoid the area.
  • Nearby streets were closed as a precaution.
  • Police said that the hostages were safe.
