Update: 2016-09-24 23:47 GMT

Islamabad: Amid much intensified Indo-Pak tension in the aftermath of the Uri terror attack, Pakistan has called off a trade show which was to be held in India next month.

“Owing to the prevailing unfavourable circumstances, the Aalishan Pakistan Exhibition 2016 (in India) has been cancelled,” said the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan in a statement.

It may be mentioned that the exhibition’s third edition was scheduled for October in the Indian capital. TDAP was already preparing for the biennial event after the success of its last two shows in the country.

Furthermore, the show was aimed at promoting bilateral business between the two nations bringing sellers and buyers together on one platform.
