Kabul: As many as three people were killed and 13 others were injured on Saturday as an explosion rocked the Bagram airfield in Afghanistan. It is the largest US military based in Afghanistan in which US has around 10,000 troops..The explosion took place near the dining facility, Abdul Shakoor Quddusi, the District Governor of Bagram said.
Responsibility of the attack has been claimed by Taliban. The Afghan official said,"We can confirm that there was an explosion at Bagram Airfield this morning just after 0100 hours GMT . There have been casualties. Our Force Protection and medical teams are responding to the situation".
The force protection and medical teams reached the scene immediately after being informed.
