Saharanpur Railway Station soon to turn completely cashless

Saharanpur: The Saharanpur Railway Station will be the first station in Uttar Pradesh to become cashless with online payments being accepted at all major counters.

Saharanpur station, which falls under the Northern Railway, is already equipped with PoS machines at tea and food stalls.

PoS Machines soon will be installed at reservation and ticket booking counters, making it the first station to boast cashless facilities.

The order was passed by the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Praveen Gaud to the Marketing Inspector Sharad Srivastava and CTI GK Soti.

What Praveen Gaud said?

- Cards and other online payment options will be available at all tea and food stalls inside the railway station.

- PoS machines will soon be installed at reservation and ticket booking counters.

- A pre-testing was done by senior railway officials before making the Saharanpur station completely cashless.

- This would give a major sigh of relief to the passengers post demonetisation.
