Lucknow: The Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) administration on Tuesday made it clear that there was no ‘ban’ on non-vegetarian food in the hostel mess.
“The mess menu had non-inclusion of non-vegetarian food since a long time and a ban could not be imposed on something that was already not in use,” said the university proctor Kamal Jaiswal.
Highlights:
- The misunderstanding was created that consuming non-vegetarian food was not allowed in the hostel.
- Only cooking of non-vegetarian food was disallowed in the mess.
- The students were allowed to bring non-vegetarian dishes from outside and consume them inside their hostel rooms.
