Lucknow: The Allahabad High Court, on Friday, reserved its order in a 2007 hate speech case involving the new Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The petition filed by Mohammad Asad Hayat and Parvez in the year 2008 had demanded CBI probe into Adityanath's alleged role in the 2007 communal riots in Gorakhpur in which one person was killed.

It was alleged that on January 27, 2007, Adityanath delivered inflammatory speeches despite curfew was imposed in the area. The BJP MP had then called for the revenge for the dead man.

The case was registered in Gorakhpur under sections 302, 307, 153A, 395, and 295 of the IPC.

In 2013, the voice sample test was found positive in the forensic probe.
