Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made a strong statement — land given to investors under the Defence Industrial Corridor must be used within three years, or it will be taken back. His latest directive, announced in Lucknow, aims to push serious investment and stop land hoarding by companies who delay their projects.
A Strict Warning to Idle Investors
CM Yogi has made it clear that every plot of land in the Defence Corridor is precious for the state’s development. He said if any investor fails to begin work within three years, the land allotment will be canceled without delay. A new transparent monitoring system will soon track investor progress, ensuring accountability and faster industrial growth.
He also told officials to make sure the land is used for real manufacturing, not just paper-based projects. This step, he said, will make Uttar Pradesh a stronger defence production hub and create local jobs.
Boost for Ganga Expressway and Skill Centres
Along with the Defence Corridor push, CM Yogi also reviewed progress on the Ganga Expressway project — one of India’s largest expressways. He directed officials to speed up work so that industries along the route can benefit from better logistics and connectivity.
He also said every major node in the Defence Corridor should have skill development centres. These centres will train youth in modern defence technologies and manufacturing skills, helping them find better jobs within the state itself.
“Industries and infrastructure must grow together,” he added, linking expressways, industrial corridors, and job creation under one vision.
Integrated Expressway Plan to Strengthen Growth
CM Yogi’s plan also includes connecting new expressways directly with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) network. This will help avoid duplication and create a seamless transport grid across Uttar Pradesh.
Such integration is expected to attract more industries to invest since transport time and costs will go down. The Chief Minister believes this single connected system will boost both industrial and agricultural trade.
Uttar Pradesh Marching Toward Industrial Power
This new move shows the government’s firm stand on serious, result-oriented investment. It sends a clear message — only genuine investors willing to build and employ will get priority. The Defence Industrial Corridor and the Ganga Expressway together could make Uttar Pradesh a national leader in manufacturing and infrastructure if all projects stay on track.
With this step, CM Yogi Adityanath has again shown that Uttar Pradesh’s development journey is moving fast — with strict monitoring, modern planning, and big dreams for the future.
