CM Adityanath reviews preparations for PM Modi’s June 18 Varanasi visit

CHIEF MINISTER Yogi Adityanath on Friday reached Varanasi to review the preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the city scheduled for June 18, officials said.

Adityanath inspected a venue in Mehndiganj where the PM will hold a public meeting and issued instructions to the officials concerned.

Later, he held a meeting with senior officials to evaluate the ongoing development projects in Varanasi and its neighbouring districts. He instructed the officials to complete all the development projects on time.

After reaching Varanasi, the CM went to Mehndiganj and reviewed the PM’s security, parking arrangements at the venue and routes for leaders. Divisional Commissioner Kaushalraj Sharma showed the route map of the venue to Adityanath. Police Commissioner Mohit Agarwal briefed the CM on security.

Modi is scheduled to visit Varanasi on June 18 for the first time after becoming PM for the third time. He will address a public meeting and a ‘Kisan Sammelan’ in Mehndiganj.
