Centre releases five IAS officers sought by Yogi govt

Yogi Adityanath slams opposition for pandemonium in assembly

Lucknow: The government of India on Monday cleared repatriation of five senior officers of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), to Uttar Pradesh, their parent cadre.

The list of officers include: Alok Kumar (1988 batch), Sanjay R Bhoosreddy (1989 batch), Prashant Trivedi (1989 batch), Shashi Prakash (1989 batch), Anurag Srivastava (1992 batch).

The appointments committee of the cabinet has further approved, "The extended cooling off condition would be waived off in all the above cases of repatriation and in case of Awanish Awasthi (1987 batch) who was prematurely repatriated vide department of personnel and training (DOPT)."

In case of Shashi Prakash Goyal (1989 batch), his repatriation would not effect his aditional secretary empanelmment eligibility on the ground of his not having served for a minimum of three years in the Government of India under the Central Staffing Scheme.

It may be mentioned that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had sought repatriation of these officers.
