From Azam's Buffaloes to DM's dog, UP Police expertises in finding VVIP pets

Rampur: Uttar Pradesh Police has the expertise in probing the cases related to lost pets of VVIPs. In the fresh incident, the diligent cops underwent a covert operation to find JoJo, a German Shephard dog of former Rampur District Magistrate Amit Kishore.

IAS Amit Kishore, who was transferred by the Election Commission following complaints from various political parties, had left his dog with the CDO for few days while he was shifting from Rampur.

JoJO was stolen from the residence of the Chief District Officer (CDO) after which a complaint was filed with the Civil Lines Police Station on Feb 24. An FIR was filed against unknown person under the section 380 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) Act.

Police came into action in search of the high profile dog, who was recovered within 24 hours after the registering of police complaint.

It may be mentioned that UP Police was trolled couple of years ago when cabinet minister Azam Khan's buffaloes were robbed in Rampur and police left no stone unturned to find them.

On the other hand, over two dozen cases of stolen children have been registered in the district in past few years but police have been lackluster in taking any action to find them.
