Allahabad: The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday granted bail to Congress leader Ajai Rai in the matter of violence during 'pratikar rally' organized in protest of alleged police atrocities during idol immersion of lord Ganesha on Oct 5, 2015 in Varanasi.
An order to this effect was passed by justice R D Khare on the bail application of Mr Rai.
It is to recall that a FIR was registered at Dashaswamedh Police Station alleging unlawful assembly, obstruction in official work and for destruction of public property.
