CM Akhilesh Yadav inaugurates UP 100 emergency services

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav inaugurated the hi-tech emergency services UP-100 in the state capital on Saturday. The UP Police Emergency Management System was previously called as dial 100.

The new service launched will ensure to boost up the policing system in the state. The UP 100 emergency services will also ensure that police reach a caller in a maximum of twenty minutes in rural areas and within 15 minutes in urban areas.

Key points of UP 100 services:

  • A centralized contact centre has been established at Lucknow for receiving emergency calls directly from across the state.
  • Akhilesh Yadav highlighted that people need not to go to police, instead police will reach them on time.
  • The UP-100 emergency services will be available initially in 11 districts from Saturday midnight.
  • It will cover all the remaining districts later.
