UP CM visits Mathura after 10 days of Jawaharbagh violence

Mathura: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Monday visited Mathura to meet the kins of slain police officer Mukul Dwivedi.

Mukul Dwivedi was killed in a pitched battle between police and protesters in Jawaharbagh violence on June 2 last. He was posted as the superintendent of policy (SP) city in Mathura.

The Chief Minister has already announced an ex-gratia of Rs 50 lakh to the family of Mukul Dwivedi and a gazetted post to his wife.

About 27 people including 2 police officers were killed in the Jawaharbagh violence.
