The World Photography Day began with the invention of Daguerreotype. It is a photographic process which was invented by Louis-Jacques-Mande-Daguerre introduced in 1839 and on August 19, 1839, the French Government announced the invention of Daguerreotype as a gift to the world.
The World Photography Day was celebrated for the first time on August 19, 2010.
