Gandhinagar: Supporting his son's fight against black money PM Narendra Modi's mother Hiraben Modi visited a bank in the capital city of Gujarat on Tuesday to get her currency notes exchanged.

The 95 year old lady exchanged rupees 4500 in a denomination of Rs 9500 notes on the day banks reopen after holiday on November 14 on account of Gurunanak Jayanti.

While Modi is being continuously attacked by opposition parties for his decision of demonetisation, this act of his mother would be seen as a blessing that would provide strength to the Indian PM for his decision.

It may be recalled that the Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi had also been seen standing in a queue outside a bank to get his money exchange, earlier, on November 12.
