Patna: Deputy Mayor of Bhojpur Basant Singh was on Thursday shot by unidentified men at Arrah city in Bhojpur district of Bihar.
Singh was out on a morning saunter at around 0500 hours when three bike-borne assailants open fired at him.
Highlights:
- Singh has sustained severe injuries in the attack.
- The Deputy Mayor was rushed to a local infirmary from where he was referred to a hospital in the state capital.
- Police has launched a manhunt to nab the attackers, who are at large.
