Air India flight makes emergency landing at New Delhi airport

New Delhi: An Air India flight carrying 167 passengers made an emergency landing at the Indira Gandhi International Airport Tuesday evening.

The Milan bound flight A-137 which had taken off at around 1500 hours, landed safely back at the airport at 1647 hours after smoke was reported inside the cabin, said an Air India spokesperson.

The passengers were transferred to another aircraft and the flight is expected to resume shortly, they added.
