ISRO achieves many milestones in 2023

The year 2023 is coming to an end. The year will never be forgotten by Indian scientists. The reason behind this is the successes achieved by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) this year.

Chandrayaan-3:

As soon as Chandrayaan-3, launched by the Indian Space Research Organization on July 14, made a soft landing on the lunar surface, India joined the group of four countries, which included America, China and Russia before India. At the same time, India became the first country to land on the south pole of the Moon.

After this, Chandrayaan-3 took 42 days in its journey. The lander module Vikram of this vehicle successfully made a soft landing on the surface near the south pole of the Moon on August 23, 2023, around 06:04 pm Indian time.

Aditya-L1:

After the success on the Moon, Indian scientists once again made the country proud when they successfully launched Aditya L-1. This is a solar mission, which was launched on Saturday, September 2 at 11:50 am from the second launch pad of Sriharikota Space Center in Andhra Pradesh. It will complete the journey of 4 months and reach L1 point.

Gaganyaan:

After Chandrayaan and Aditya L-1, ISRO is now preparing for its first manned mission, Gaganyaan. Its first human space travel is expected in 2025. Before sending humans in the Gaganyaan mission, ISRO will conduct various tests to ensure all aspects of human safety. In this series, on October 21, ISRO successfully completed the test flight TVD1 of the Gaganyaan mission.

In this first test flight, ISRO sent the crew module to outer space and then successfully brought it back to the ground. Through this test, scientists tried to ensure whether the abort trajectory was working properly or not. If the rocket malfunctions during the mission, how to safely return the satellite has also been evaluated.

ISRO has stated that after the first test flight, three more test flights D2, D3, and D4 will be sent. After this, the first unmanned mission of Gaganyaan mission can be planned. In this unmanned mission, humanoid robot Vyommitra, i.e. a completely human-like robot, will be sent. That is, before this ISRO will complete various tests, and only then it will proceed with the human space mission.
