- Enter your Aadhar number and captcha code.
- You will get an OTP on your registered number that is linked with your Aadhar Card.
- Enter the OTP.
- Now you can check your history.

UIDAI gives you the facility to lock and unlock your Aadhaar number. When Aadhaar is not needed, keep it locked so that no one can misuse it. Apart from this, you can also use the masked Aadhaar facility provided by UIDAI. This keeps the first 8 digits of your Aadhaar number hidden.

- First, visit the official website uidai.gov.in.
- Now go to My Aadhar option and click Aadhar lock/Unlock service.
- Now enter your VID number, Full name, Pincode and Captcha.
- You will get an OTP on your registered mobile number.
- Enter the OTP and then your Aadhar will be locked.
What to do if there is a problem in locking the Aadhaar card from the website?
Many times people can face such problems due to slow website or technical problem. In such a situation, users can also lock it from the mobile number linked to their Aadhaar card.
For this, follow these steps:
- First of all, send a message by writing GETOTP to 1947 from your Aadhaar linked mobile number.
- After this, an OTP will come on your registered mobile number.
- Send this OTP again to 1947 as 'LOCKUID Aadhaar number'.
This way your Aadhaar card will be locked.
