Tesla and X owner Elon Musk has once again come into the limelight with his new company Neuralink. His startup 'Neuralink' has implanted the brain in the first human patient. Elon Musk gave this information on Tuesday and said that his Neuralink startup implanted the brain in its first human patient.

"The first human received an implant from Neuralink yesterday and is recovering well," Musk wrote in a post on Twitter. “Early results are promising,” he wrote.

The neurotechnology company co-founded by Musk in 2016 aims to create a direct communication channel between the brain and computers. Neuralink's technology will work primarily through an implant called "Link" – a device the size of five coins that will be inserted inside the human brain through surgery.

In a statement issued by the company last year, it was informed that it has received approval from American regulators to test brain implants in people. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had given it the green signal for in-human clinical trials.

Last year, California-based Neuralink had more than 400 employees and raised at least $363 million, according to data company PitchBook. Neuralink says that its aim is to make life easier for people suffering from neurological disorders.
