Sydney: Saina Nehwal, with her unmatched brilliance, marched into the finals of Australian Open Super Series by surpassing Yihan Wang of China on Saturday.
Saina thumped World ‘No. 2’ badminton player Yihan by 21-8, 21-12 in the semi-finals of women singles event.
The win will prove a big boost for the London Olympic bronze medallist before the campaign of Rio Olympics.
On the other hand, in men’s singles, Kidambi Srikanth faced a defeat by 20-22, 13-21 against Kristian Vittinghus in an important semi-final clash.
