Indore: Indian ace batsman Ajinkya rahane completed his 2000 runs in test cricket when he scored twob runs in the third test match against new Zealand at Holkar stadium of Indore here on Saturday.

Hailing from Mumbai,28-year-old Rahane achieved the feat in his 29th test plsying 49th innings. Earlier this match, he had seven 100s and nine 50s to his credit with a healthy average of over 47.

Ajinkya had debuted in March, 2013 against Australia at Feroze Shah Kotla ground in Delhi. He has also featured in 67 One Day matches and 20 T20.
