Mohali: India beats England comprehensibly in the third Cricket Test match at Mohali to lead the five-match series 2-0 on Wednesday. Such was the Indian dominance in the match that it wrapped up the match within four days registering victory by eight wickets.

Chasing the target of 103 runs, India romped home with an aggressive inning of 67 off only 54 balls by Parthiv Patel justifying his recall to the Test. It is India's 17th consecutive win on home soil.

Interestingly, there was no hundred in a match. Ravindra Jadeja has been given Man of the Match for his stupendous all round performance.

Resuming its second innings at 78/4, England was all-out for 236 runs giving India an easy target of 103 runs. The visitors faced an early blow with Ben Stokes (5) given leg before wicket to Ashwin. At one end Joe Root got sticked to the wicket while on the other hand England batsmen including Batty (0), Buttler (18) kept on going back to pavilion. It was young Haseeb Hameed who landed England to a respectable total after Joe Root's departed. Root's 78-run knock was laced with six fours while Hameed remained unbeaten at a score of 59 runs.

Earlier, spinning trio of India, excelled in batting as well, helped India gaining four early wickets of skipper Cook (12), Moeen Ali (5), Bairstow (15) and Stokes (5). Ashwin sent three of them back to pavilion while Jayant got in-form Bairstow on Day 3.

Indian Cricket team, in its 1st innings, came up strongly in the game with lower batting order shining. Ravindra Jadeja and Jayant Yadav have played some tremendous Cricket with the bat powering India script 417 runs in its 1st innings.
