IndvsEng, 1st Test: Vijay hits ton, Pujara departs on 124, India 277/2

Rajkot: Centurions Cheteshwar Pujara and Murali Vijay have powered India to 277 runs, despite Gambhir's early departure on Day 3 of the first Test of the five-match series at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium here on Friday. It was 9th hundred for Pujara while Vijay rejoiced completing his 7th ton in Test Cricket.

Resuming the play on Day 3, India lost old war horse Gautam Gambhir (29) who departed adding a single run in his inning. Later, Vijay and Classy Cheteshwar Pujara lead India's charge. Pujara’s awe-inspiring inning ended on 124.

Murali Vijay (110) and Indian skipper Virat Kohli (0) are at the crease. India is 277/2 after 91 overs.

It could be mentioned here when Pujara was playing on 86 runs, he was given leg before wicket to Zafar Ansari, Then, Pujara gone for a review following which DRS worked for the local boy and was given not-out.
