ICC to conduct dope tests on players during World T-20

Update: 2016-03-10 11:02 GMT

Mumbai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) will conduct random dope tests on cricketers during the World Twenty20 Championship in India.

“The dope test is a regular practice in all ICC events and it has nothing to do with the latest drug scandals that rocked the sporting world,” tournament director M V Sridhar said on Thursday.

The dope tests have been in practice since 2011, he added.
