WhatsApp services go down in many parts of India!

Lucknow: The most popular chatting platform WhatsApp has gone down since past one hour on Friday, leaving its users across India as well as globe in a tizzy.

According to the sources, 60 per cent of customers were having issues in sending messages and making calls using the application.

"A further 25 per cent report issues receiving messages and 14 per cent are struggling to login," added the sources.

It is to tell you that the popular messaging app, owned by Facebook, is being used in 180 countries across the globe and has over a billion users.

Several users took to Twitter to confirm the development and vent their frustration with #whatsappdown trending on the micro-blogging site.

After an hour of partial breakdown, the services were restored as the WhatsApp users across the world, including in India, heaved a sigh of relief.

Users were able to send and receive messages and could log into their WhatsApp accounts after a brief outage period.

Earlier in May 2017, WhatsApp was also down for a few hours in all parts of the world.
