UP Polls: Samajwadi Party releases first candidate list for Uttarakhand

Lucknow: Shivpal Yadav, the newly elected President of Samajwadi Party, on Thursday announced his new 81-member state executive comprised of Vice President Kiran Pal Singh, General Secretary Omprakash Singh , Treasurer Rajkumar Mishra and 21 secretaries.

Making this announcement at the state party headquarter here, Shivpal Yadav asserted that party leaders have no differences among them and the party was well poised to win next assembly elections. In addition to this, he also announced names of 18 specially invitees at the executive.

In a significant statement made on the occasion, the state SP Chief was affirmative on the merger of mafia-turned politician Mukhtar Ansari's Qaumi Ekta Dal (QED) in the SP. When asked about it, he said Netaji ( Party Supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav) has already announced the merger without divulging further.

It may be recalled that a lot of bad blood was generated between him and the then state President Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav over the merger.
