Lucknow: With the reports of reshuffle in the cabinet of Prime Minister Narendra Modi likely on Sunday, the speculations are rife that Baghpat MP Satpal Malik of Janata Dal, and RCP Singh and Anil Kumar from Nitish Kumar camp are going to be inducted in the Union cabinet.

Coming into the 'election mode', PM Modi has decided to remove 11 ministers from his cabinet for being non-performing. It is being said that Bhupendra Yadav, Hemant Vishwakarma and Ram Madhav will be the new faces in the Modi cabinet.

Ahead of the reshuffle, Minister of State for Skill Development Rajeev Pratap Rudy had on Thursday night resigned from the Union Council of Ministers, while several others are believed to have offered to resign.

Union Ministers Uma Bharati, Radha Mohan Singh, Giriraj Singh, Kalraj Mishra, Nirmala Sitharaman, Mahendra Nath Pandey, Faggan Singh Kulaste and Sanjiv Baliyan have offered to quit to pave way for the Cabinet reshuffle, BJP sources said.

Apart from them, Law and Justice Minister Ravishankar Prasad, Tourism Minister Dr Mahesh Sharma, Sports Minister Vijay Goel, Minister of State for Human Resources Upendra Kushwaha and Nihal Chand are going to be shown exit gate from the Modi cabinet.

Who might get what in the reshuffle?

Nitin Gadkari is likely to get more responsibilities as he might be elevated as the Railway Minister. Suresh Prabhu, who had offered to resign from the ministry following repeated derailments across the country, may get Defence Ministry.

Smriti Irani might only be left with Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, while Narendra Singh will only have Rural Development Ministry. It is also being said that Vinay Sahasrabuddhe might be named Minister of State for Defence.

Where Ram Madhav and Bhupendra Yadav might get big responsibilities, Piyush Goyal, Dharmendra Pradhan and Manoj Sinha might be inducted in the Union cabinet.

Most likely fresh faces in the Union cabinet:

Prem Kumar Dhumal from Himachal Pradesh, Suresh Angadi from Karnataka, former Mumbai Police Commissioner Satpal Singh from Uttar Pradesh and Hemant Vishwakarma from Chhattisgarh will be the new faces in the cabinet. Former bureaucrat RCP Singh and Anil Sahani are most likely to find place in the cabinet from Janata Dal.

The BJP hierarchy is also mulling on the name of Rajya Sabha member Shiv Pratap Shukla.

Lalji Tandon, Kalraj Mishra, Vijay Kumar Malhotra, Kailash Joshi, CP Thakur, Anandiben Patel and Jitan Ram Manjhi are also likely to be made Governors of different states during the same reshuffle period. Kalraj Mishra might be put in the waiting-list to become the Governor.

It is worth mentioning that this is going to be the third cabinet reshuffle since BJP came to power in May 2014.
