Former Rajasthan Deputy CM and Congress Working Committee member Sachin Pilot has separated from his wife Sara Pilot. According to media reports, they have taken divorce.

This was revealed from the affidavit submitted by Pilot while filing his nomination papers as a Congress candidate from Tonk Assembly seat on Tuesday. He wrote 'Divorced' in the column asking for his wife's name.

The information about the divorce between them has become public for the first time. It is not yet clear when the couple filed for divorce.

Sachin's two sons Aran and Vihaan have been living with him. He mentioned their names as dependents in the affidavit.

Before this, in November 2018, in the last assembly elections, he had written the name of Sara Pilot in the column of wife's name in the affidavit.

Previously the rumour about their separation did the round during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Pilot married Sara in January 2004. Sara is the daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir CM and senior National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah and sister of Omar Abdullah.

Pilot became deputy CM in December 2018.

Pilot's love story is completely filmy. Sachin was at the Wharton School in the University of Pennsylvania, America when he met Sara. They married a little later.

Sara's father Farooq Abdullah was against this marriage. Sachin entered the field of politics only after a few months of marriage. At the age of 26, he became the youngest MP by contesting his first Lok Sabha election from Dausa and winning by a huge margin. After some time, Abdullah's family accepted Pilot as their son-in-law.
