No political patronage, strict action will be taken: UP CM warns criminals

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath told the UP Assembly that no criminal in the state will enjoy political patronage and strict action will be taken against anyone indulging into such activities.

UP CM's statement came during the Zero Hour amid the oppositions' allegations of worsened law and order situation in the state.

Terming the incident in Mathura, in which two jewellers were gunned down, a serious issue, CM Adityanath said, "The DGP will will visit Mathura on Wednesday. There will be no discrimination on the basis of caste, creed and religion on the law and order front....A time frame has been set for solving the cases."

Objecting to the remark of the leader of Opposition Ram Govind Chaudhary (SP), who claimed that the state was burning due to rising criminal activities, the chief minister said, "No such condition has emerged in Uttar Pradesh."

Reminding Choudhary the Jawaharbagh case in Mathura during the Samajwadi Party's rule, Adityanath said that it was unfair of him to claim that the state was burning.
