EC issues new party names, symbols to Chirag Paswan & Pashupati Paras

Lucknow: The Election Commission has given a big decision regarding the Lok Janshakti Party divided into two groups. The Election Commission has approved the two factions of Lok Janshakti Party as separate parties.

LJP officially splits into two: 

Along with this, the Election Commission has also abolished the old name and symbol. The commission has given the new name of the party to the Chirag Paswan-led faction Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and allotted the "election symbol helicopter".At the same time, his uncle Pashupati Paras has been given the National Janshakti Party and Sewing Machine election symbol.

EC issues new party names:

Significantly, after the death of LJP founder and former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, the party had split into two factions. Ram Vilas's son Chirag Paswan was left alone. At the same time, the rest of the MP had gone with his uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras. There was a constant tussle between uncle and nephew regarding the party symbol. The claim was being made on behalf of both the leaders with the symbol of the party. Politics was going on continuously about this.

Last week, the Election Commission confiscated the symbol of the LJP. The uncle-nephew had demanded the Election Commission to release the party's name and symbol. The Election Commission has allotted the name and symbol of the party to both the leaders.

The Election Commission had ordered to give a new name and three options of symbols for their respective factions by 1 pm on October 4. To which both the groups had sent a reply following the order of the commission. The Commission has issued the new name and election symbol of the party to both the leaders on Tuesday.

Chirag had leveled this allegation on Uncle Paras:

Chirag Paswan wrote a letter to the Election Commission alleging that the Pashupati Paras group was deliberately delaying giving three choices of names and symbols so that the commission could not decide. Chirag had alleged that due to the delay in the decision by the commission, his election preparations were also being affected. Chirag Paswan wants to field his candidates in the by-elections to be held on October 30 for two seats in the Bihar Legislative Assembly. Chirag will field candidates in the seats of Kusheshwarsthan and Tarapur.
