On behest of Mulayam, PK meets Akhilesh; Alliance on cards?

Lucknow: The desire of Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav prevails over Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, who had a three-hour long meeting Congress poll strategist Prashant Kishor at his residence here, possibly to discuss an alliance in the poll bound state.

Sources close to SP said that senior leaders from both the parties - Congress and SP, will sit together in the next meeting to take a step forward towards the alliance.

The meeting seems to be crucial as it comes on the day when Akhilesh has given an NOC to grand alliance in the state by saying "no body can stop if the two parties decide to form an alliance”.

Akhilesh, however, had clarified that the national party president Mulayam Singh Yadav will take the final call on the issue. As far as he is concerned he will give his sense to the party forum on the subject.
