Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday distributed portfolios to his ministers who figured in the last reshuffle. After enough tussle in the Yadav clan over the controversial minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati, he was still not given the charge of mining department.
It may be mentioned that Gayatri Prajapati was heading Mining department before he was sacked by the Chief Minister ostensibly after Allahabad High Court ordered a CBI probe into illegal mining in UP.
Below is the list of ministers along with their portfolios:
Gayatri Prasad: Transport Department
Manoj Kumar Pandey: Department of Electronics and Information Technology
Shivakant Ojha: Medical and Health Department
Ziauddin Rizwi: Livestock Department
Yasar Shah: Taxes and Registration (business) Department
Riyaz Ahmad: Fisheries and Department of Public Enterprises
Ravidas Mehrotra: Family planning, maternal and child welfare
Narendra Verma: Department of Development and sugar cane mills
Shankhlal Manjhi: Social Welfare, Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Tribes Welfare and military
Abhishek Mishra: Vocational Education and Skills Development
Along with this, Mehboob Ali has been given added responsibility of Minor Irrigation Department by Governor Ram Naik on the recommendations of Chief Minister.
