IAS B Chandrakala seeks central deputation in the new govt

Lucknow: As expected, the District Magisterate (DM) of Meerut DM B Chandrakala, considered very close to previous Samajwadi Party government, has sought the Central deputation as soon as the new government came to power in Uttar Pradesh.

The 2008-batch Indian Administrative Service officer Chandrakala always remained in the news for her erratic behaviour and penchant for publicity.

A fax message from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), GOI, dated March 23 said that she had been cleared for appointment as Under Secretary in the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation.

According to the sources of Appointment Deptt of UP, she will assume new assignment only after the government relieves her from the state.
