Western culture, increasing need for money, unnecessary ego, increasing obscenity on internet and social media are poisoning not only the family but also the relationship between husband and wife.

This poison is so deadly that even the husband and wife, who have been managing the family for years, are becoming bent on infidelity and cheating on each other. In this regard, based on studies conducted on Asian-European countries including India, many medical journals say that infidelity or cheating is also related to age, physical changes, education and values.

It cannot be seen from just one perspective. However, women start thinking of cheating on their husbands after seven years of marriage, while husbands start thinking of cheating after three years.

According to the recent report of global data agency BedBible Research Center 2023, 23 percent of people are cheating on their partners in some form or the other. 14 percent people have admitted to cheating on their current spouse. This includes 21 percent men and 7 percent women. Talking about Asian countries including India, 7 out of 10 men and 6 women are ready to cheat on their partner if they feel that they will not be caught. However, 17 percent of people are caught by their partner. At the age of 58, about 25 percent of cases of cheating have been found. 60 percent of cases start with a close friend or co-worker. The special thing is that 49.8 percent people do not even accept infidelity.

A study by dating website Gleeden says that on an average, women aged 19-29 in India are more likely to cheat than men. 40 percent of women of this age cheated on their partners while this rate among men is 21 percent. Many changes occur in the heart, mind and body of people at this age. Due to this, they take such steps.

Bengaluru is on top in terms of partner cheating in India. Mumbai is at number two and then Kolkata. A major reason for this is men and women working together in night shifts in the office. While working at night, men and women have more sympathy towards their colleagues and they start coming closer to each other.

Gleeden's report says that 55 percent of Indians cheat on their spouse at least once. This cheating can be not only an extramarital affair but also an emotional or financial transaction which is hidden from the partner. The good thing is that 70 percent of Indian women forgive their partner and give him a chance to improve, whereas men are not generous in this matter.
