Lucknow: Expressing condolences on the sad demise of BJP MLA from Sikandara (Kanpur Dehat) Mathura Pal, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday prayed that the former's soul rests in peace.
"Condolences on the sad demise of Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Mathura Pal. He devoted significant efforts towards empowering the weaker section of the society and always worked for the betterment of common man."
CM Adityanath will visit Medupur village, the paternal home of Mathura Pal, later in the day.
Ailing Mathura Pal, who was suffering from cancer, died midway on Saturday morning while being taken to the Medanta Medicity hospital in Gurgaon.
