Lucknow: After Bollywood actor and Bhartiya Janata Party leader Shatrughan Sinha had supported Member of Parliament (MP) from Sultanpur Varun Gandhi as the chief ministerial face of the party for next Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, the party on Thursday asked him to stay away from its internal matters.

“We request Shatrughan Sinhaji not to interfere in the matters of UP assembly elections,” said BJP MP Shyama Charan Gupta in a statement. Sinha had earlier said, “Varun Gandhi is a leader who gives his best to the party.

Moreover, he has the acceptability of the people in UP and is wise enough to be made the chief ministerial candidate.”
